Originally formed in 2000, Twin Cities jam band favorites Down Lo consists of Northfield, MN natives Mark Grundhoefer (guitar, vocals) and Ryan Nielsen (bass), Will Nissen (keyboards, sax, vocals) and Michigan native Mike Cini (drums). Combining rock, funk, reggae, blues, country and jazz into a hybrid that is much more than just another jam band, Down Lo prides itself on its musical proficiency and quality songwriting. Their debut CD, Lead My Way, consists of all original material and demonstrates the groups' musical diversity while maintaining a fresh sound that is unique but still accessible.

Down Lo continues to tour incessantly throughout the US playing numerous festivals, clubs and colleges and making new fans and new friends wherever they go. They recently returned from a tour of Colorado, Kansas and Missouri and are preparing for an extended Spring tour in support of the new CD. The band has also confirmed several Summer festivals dates including Wakarusa and the Big Wu Family Reunion. A truly dynamic live band, Down Lo creates an engaging party atmosphere every time they take the stage and always leave their fans wanting more!
